Conference of birds is the story(i guess in form of a poem) by farid attar,a persian poet whose pupil was maulana rumi.i read the story while teaching class 4th in a religous centre in karachi.(that was just 1 yr back)It was in the class 4th new cirriculam (it still is) and i really liked it.However ...

can any1 pls enlist some of the fields imam has recently being in favor of for ismaili students to pursue careers in and some which he has asked ismailis to avoid.

Also i heard one of the farmans of Mowlana Hazar Imam that was dated to 1983 in which he clearly said to avoid field of computers ...

when an ismaili dies,he is placed in one of the seven levels acc. to his doings in the world.seven levels refer to seven aasmans above the earth or perhaps these are seven heavens or (seven valleys as the tutor of maulana rumi has explained in the story of "the conference of birds") or seven layers ...

u r probably right that i have taken it in a rather literal sense,however,actually this is one of the interpretations of al-waez abu ali-but still its an interpretation.But one thing i missed was that he said that this event wud take place ( i dont know whether a war like thing wud ...
