There are videos circulating showing Hazar Imam in ceremonial robe and black hat on, walking among multitudes of his murids reciting salwaats. Looks like a Darbar then a didar! I don't have the ability to post here.

I have always wondered why is it that people in Central Asia and northern Pakistan get darbars and never mulaqat
Re: Northern Pakistan Visit 2026, May
I am just speculating that it was a Darbar based on Hazar Imam's appearance in his ceremonial robes, not confirmed yet! However if it is indeed a Darbar it could be because such events are not frequent due to the logistics or in this moment it is a great historical occasion of special significance for the Jamat meeting the 50th Imam for the first time.Imranramjica wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 4:50 pm I have always wondered why is it that people in Central Asia and northern Pakistan get darbars and never mulaqat

Key points from the Farman of Our beloved MHI at Passu:
• Our beloved MHI reminded the Jamat that he is their Imam, and matters relating to faith, guidance and direction will come through him and his institutions.
• He emphasized that although institutions may not always be perfect, the Jamat should respect them, remain connected with them, and work through them.
• MHI repeatedly stressed the importance of unity within families, among brothers and sisters, extended families, and the wider community.
• He said that when families and communities remain united, they become stronger and happier — and the Imam will also be happy.
• MHI gave special guidance to the youth, saying that the world is passing through challenging times and young people must come forward with confidence and responsibility.
• He advised the youth to think globally, understand the changing world, and prepare themselves for the future.
• He specifically emphasized the importance of learning and improving English, as it connects young people with the wider world.
• MHI encouraged the youth to pursue education not merely for degrees, but to understand life, improve themselves, and better understand global realities.
• He reminded the Jamat that Allah’s guidance is always available, especially in moments of worry, difficulty or uncertainty.
• He encouraged everyone to seek strength and peace through prayer, remembrance of Allah, and faith.
• MHI repeatedly underlined that unity, faith, education, respect for institutions, and service to one another are essential for the happiness and progress of the Jamat.

The didar in Passu was just amazing. Everything was in English except the Qasedas. One hour delay because of terrible weather in Gilgit this morning.
Because it was in English it was the shortest speech ever. Sorry the location was other worldly. In a valley surrounded by mountains all around. And Hazar Imam came by helicopter. And best behaved 100,000 persons I have ever had the pleasure to spend a delightful few hours with.
The Deedar nearly got cancelled this morning because of torrential rain all night and into the early hours. The carpets were soaked but everyone adjusted. As usual there were a lot of Ithna-Asharis at the deedar. They have to register same as the Ismailis. Shah Karim used to greet them with Salaam Alakum and address them with a couple of sentences.
Shah Rahim just said he was extremely happy that the communities live in harmony. So much so that they volunteer to manage the traffic in some areas. And on returning from the deedar they stand on the road cheering every passing car shouting deedar mubarak. And any non ismaili shop is shuttered for the deedar between Karimabad and Passu.
Few more things about the deedar. Hunza valley is like a rift valley with a lot of villages all over the place. All villages are shut down 3 to 4 days before the deedar. The murids are than transported free of charge in cars, vans, lorries and buses to areas around the deedar where local families house them. The transportation is mind boggling. Ismailis and non Ismailis stop their daily business and volunteer their time their cars, vans, lorries and buses and petrol and bring them to the area. All the volunteers do multiple trips day and night.
On the day of the deedar the murids have to be taken to the remote location of the deedar. Again Ismailis and non Ismailis start at 2am to 12 noon when the gates are shut. Then when the deedar finishes the reverse journeys are made.
One army captain in Hazar Imam's protection team found out the logistics of handling 100,000 without any incident and he was gobsmacked. A petrol and diesel lorry just drives up and down the highway just in case someone runs out of fuel. There was a tyre pressure unit halfway to the deedar location. And mechanics are on call in case of a breakdown. And because the area is prone to land slides 2 earth movers were on call and they were needed. The Army Captain said any other Pakistani community there would be riots and chaos. One non Ismaili from a small town contributed 70 vans by itself. And don't forget the deedar location itself where volunteers worked day and nights for weeks in extremely cold and wet weather. He did not wear ceremonial garb but he was in his usual suit but he made one concession. He wore a furry hat because it is a tradition here.

There is something deeply moving about what is happening in the northern areas of Pakistan at this moment.
My family is preparing for Deedar in the Passu region, where a Grand Darbar Mubarak is being held.
Jamat from many small villages are journeying together toward the nearby village where the Deedargah and Darbar Pandal have been lovingly prepared.
Families have already begun leaving a day earlier so they may arrive in time for this blessed occasion.
My mother shared that two or three families are being accommodated together in the homes of local Ismaili Jamati members. The travelling Jamat has been informed that the host Jamat will lovingly take care of food and accommodation, while requesting everyone to carry some perishable items and to show special care and respect to elders and children
The entire atmosphere from the preparations to the Deedargah itself, feels like a glimpse of Jannah (heaven) on earth.
Jamatkhanas have decorated beautiful entrance gates representing their Jamats, adorned with messages from Qasidas and Qur'anic ayas. Every heart seems to be beating with one emotion, one anticipation, one love.
Deedar Mubarak in the northern areas of Pakistan is not just a Deedar. It is unique in its own sense, not only for the Ismaili Jamat but also for many sister communities around them.
There is a happiness that spreads beyond boundaries. Volunteers step forward without hesitation, standing in rain and cold, picking up rocks one by one, clearing landslides and roads so murids can safely reach the Deedargah.
People from other communities who have benefited from the Imam's institutions also feel a sense of joy and pride because they too see happiness arriving in their region.
*There is something incredibly beautiful and humbling about the devotion of the northern Jamat. Their love carries the memory of hardships, struggles, sorrows and sacrifices of generations before them. Remembering their departed ruhani family members who are no longer present to witness this blessed Mubarak occasion, many shed tears as they await the arrival of Nur.
Their concern is often not whether they will touch the Imam or wave at the Imam Their greatest desire is simply to preserve and carry their love and devotion deeply in their hearts There is something in that sincerity from which all of us can learn.
I can only wish I were there physically, but my heart is at peace knowing that my mother will receive the Deedar Mubarak of the Imam of the Time. *She has been sending voice messages filled with emotion and deep sentiments and hearing them touches the heart in ways words cannot describe.
The northern Jamat flourished under Mawlana Shah Karim's Nurani chhatrchhaya, under His unconditional love, care and guidance. That is a blessing we can never forget for as long as we breathe. Yet the continuity of Imamat in Imam-e-Zaman remains an eternal mercy and a living grace. His karam and nawazish upon us are beyond measure * Even if we were given many lifetimes, perhaps even then we would never be able to fully express our shukrana.

The Deedar in Passu was truly something unforgettable. The entire setting felt almost beyond words — a beautiful valley surrounded by majestic mountains in every direction, with clouds still hanging low after torrential rain throughout the night and early morning. At one point there was even concern that the Deedar might be cancelled because the carpets were completely soaked, yet everyone adjusted quietly and gracefully.
Hazar Imam arrived by helicopter, wearing his usual elegant suit, but with one lovely local touch — a traditional furry hat in honour of the region. Everything was in English except the qasidas, and perhaps because of that, it ended up being one of the shortest speeches ever.
But what touched me most was not only the breathtaking scenery — it was the spirit of the people. Nearly 100,000 murids gathered with such patience, discipline, warmth, and respect. Honestly, it was one of the most peaceful and beautifully behaved gatherings I have ever had the privilege to witness.
The logistics behind it all were simply incredible. Villages throughout Hunza shut down days beforehand. Ismailis and non-Ismailis alike volunteered their cars, vans, buses, lorries, fuel, homes, and time. Families welcomed strangers into their homes with kindness and generosity. Volunteers drove day and night transporting murids from village to village and then onward to the remote Deedar location, starting as early as 2am.
Along the highway there were fuel trucks driving up and down in case anyone ran out of petrol, tyre pressure stations set up midway, mechanics on standby, and even earth movers prepared for landslides — which were actually needed. One army captain from Hazar Imam’s protection team said he was amazed that an event of this size could be managed with such calmness and without chaos or incident.
One of the most beautiful parts was the harmony between communities. Many Ithna Ashariyyahs attended the Deedar as well, registering like everyone else. Hazar Imam expressed how happy he was to see communities living together in peace and mutual respect. Non-Ismaili volunteers helped manage traffic, shops between Karimabad and Passu closed out of respect for the occasion, and people stood along the roadside cheering passing vehicles with joyful cries of “Deedar Mubarak.”
Behind it all were countless volunteers who worked for weeks in freezing rain and difficult conditions preparing the site.
It did not feel like just an event. It felt like witnessing faith, service, humanity, discipline, and unity at their very best.

Despite unusual and unfavourable weather conditions in the region, Mawlana Hazar Imam was able to travel to Gilgit yesterday to begin a series of visits to the Jamat in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral.
Upon arriving in Gilgit, Hazar Imam was received at the airport by the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Justice (Retired) Yar Muhammad, FCNA Commander Major General Syed Imtiaz Hussain, Justice Ali Baig of the Chief Court of Gilgit-Baltistan along with other senior officials of the Gilgit-Baltistan government and administration and a delegation of Jamati leadership.
Hazar Imam then travelled to Passu, a village in the Hunza region, located near the Pakistan-China border. Tens of thousands of Jamati members had gathered at the outdoor venue with much anticipation and emotion. There, Hazar Imam blessed the Jamat with didar.
Ismailis have been present in this part of the world for centuries, and since the time of Mawlana Sultan Mahomed Shah, Imamat institutions have established numerous initiatives to enhance the quality of life of the Jamat in the region, with an emphasis on access to education.
In recent weeks, Jamati members have taken part in a pledge to Read, Move and Plant as an expression of love, gratitude and commitment to their Imam. Inspiring lifelong learning, promoting active living, and encouraging environmental responsibility, close to 200 million minutes of reading, approximately 75 million minutes of movement and over 130 thousand trees have been pledged as part of the campaign.

Congratulations to everyone on the Deedar (holy glimpse) of Moula Shah Karim today. May Moula bless everyone with happiness.
Moula was very close, absolutely close to me. After that, when Moula came out after giving Deedar to everyone, he then came toward our Patient Area. Especially, I was given the responsibility of management there—where Hazir Imam was supposed to enter, and I had to open that gate.
I don't have the words to describe how my hands were shaking when I opened that gate. And indeed, I opened the gate, and Moula stood right in front of me, face-to-face. There were patients with me, and he spoke with those patients. He stayed with us for almost half an hour.
When I opened the door, my hands were literally trembling. I experienced a level of happiness that knows no bounds. He spent almost half an hour with us and was extremely happy. Moula was very joyful, and the public and community present there were also filled with immense joy.
During the Deedar, Moula met with the community, hugged them, and shook hands with everyone. He especially approached the children and met them. Moula went to the patients to meet them as well. He sat down and talked with them properly.
We also had a young girl with cerebral palsy; Hazir Imam literally sat down on the floor next to her. He sat on the floor and talked to her. She also had a brain tumor issue. He conversed with her while sitting on the floor and comforted her. She had brought a flower for him, and Moula accepted that flower and gave her many blessings.
Today was a day of immense happiness. Congratulations to all of you on this first Deedar of Moula."

She made this card at home, her mommy said we cant give this to him in so much crowd but she made it and Maula said ‘You are my beautiful flower, I will show this to my kids and stay strong’
This little card in Maula pak’s hand is a card from our neighbour. She is a little girl with stage 4 brain cancer. Maula pak’s wazeer tried to take this card from him multiple times. But Maula didnt give this to anyone. Look in the hand of Mowla in the photo below.

Yesterday morning, Mawlana Hazar Imam travelled to Parwak in Upper Chitral, a remote and mountainous region of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan.
There, he was received by Imtiaz Alam, Regional Council President for Upper Chitral.
Many thousands of Jamati members had gathered at the outdoor venue, which volunteers had spent weeks preparing. After much excitement and anticipation, Hazar Imam graced the Jamat with didar.
As part of the preparations, Jamati members have been writing personal commitments on pebbles or river stones reflecting how they intend to contribute positively towards their village, Jamat, and society. The pebbles have been transformed into three art installations, representing the gifts of reading, movement and planting. One of these is in Parwak and was presented to Mawlana Hazar Imam today.

Ya Ali madad everyone Its an experience i will never forget in my life I am very grateful to Allah and MHI for this blessing.
Yesterday I attended Deedar in Passu Hunza we live in Aliabad Hunza which is in Central Hunza and Passu is in Upper Hunza and it takes 1.5 to 2 hrs to go from Aliabad to Passu so we had to move to Passu and near by by village 1 or 2 days before Deedar till 12pm at night 22May, lower and central Hunza which consists of 100k Ismailis were shifted to Passu where people of Upper Hunza welcomed us into their homes and till we return, at back home our 12 yrs of age brothers took the responsibility of security of our homes, land etc.
We were scheduled to go to Deedargah at night 2am to 3am as Deedar was at 10am but due to weather Deedar was re-scheduled to 12pm so we moved to Deedargah at 8am as time was short and population Youth Mulaqat and Multifath meeting was included in Deedar, weather was extremely harsh temperature was 8 to 9°C and it rained so much that carpets were wet and it was Deedar so we happily sit on wet carpets our clothes were like we just jumped in a pool it was very cold with wet clothes but it was for our beloved Mowla
at 12pm noon we heard Mowla has arrived at Gilgit Airport and Hazir Imam is on His way to Hunza then at 12:30pm mowla arrived in Passu Deedargah, we all recited Salwat and when Mowla's foot (Kadam Mubarak) touched the land of Hunza, weather changed suddenly dark black clouds suddenly disappeared and white clouds appeared, Passu is known for its wind and wind stopped completely rain stopped it became an extremely beautiful weather, I was sitting near red carpet, then Mowla entered Deedargah when I looked at Imam, Mowla's face was shiny i was completely shocked my whole body was shaking when I look at it was like I was looking at someone very poweful or an angel or even higher person I have saw Mowla when he was silent Imam (when Mowla Shah Karim was alive) but this time when I saw Imam shah Rahim He was completely different like when I saw Imam it was completely obvious that He has the Nur i nearly fainted I was only 0.1% away from being faint i was shaking, crying.
Mowla walked so much in Deedargah, as there were 120k+ ismailis and only 100 non ismaili who were either husbands or wives, Imam then sit on His chair then Quran Sharif was recited along with English and urdu translations Ayat ul Kursi was recited then Qasida Mubarak was recited * it was Shajari Hikmat* only 3 verses were recited.
Then Central jamatkhana Mukhi saheb presented Imam a gift from jamat it was the Ceremonial Chain and then a women came to stage and she recited Zikr of Allah Hu Akbar, Salwat and Ya Ala Nabi Awlad e Ali Ya Mushkil Kusha Ya Hazir Imam all 3 tashbi 11 times MHI did Zikr with us except Ya Ala Nabi Awlad e Ali Ya Mushkil Kusha Ya Hazir Imam then president of Ismaili Council for Pakistan made a short speech in honour and thanking our beloved Hazir Imam, president was extremely emotional and crying during his speech then our dear MHI made Farman Mubarak, MHI was extremely emotional and Imam addressed us > "like in these beautiful mountains with my beautiful Jamat and my spiritual Childern" Mowla focused on Allah and Tawheed and gave us alot of Dua for whole Jamat, for Ruhani Jamat, and prayed for peace globally, Mowla also focused on earning ethically and legally and also made it clear that *only Imam holds the authority of interpreting and doing all changes to our faith *He has the authority and said *any news will only be delivered through events like Deedar or through official Imamati institutions Council and ITREB
and then imam sit down. Then central jamatkhana Mukhi saheb offered Bayah on behalf of Jamat of Hunza it was in Urdu, then Central Jamatkhana Mukhi, Kamidiya, Mukhiyani and Kamidiyani presented Nazrana and then almost 6 to 7 Jamatkhana Mukhi, Kamidiya, Mukhiyani and Kamidiyani presented other Nazranas then Mowla made His last Farman Mubarak and Mowla said He accepts our Bayah and Nazranas presented, Mowla prayed these Nazranas become blessings for all of us, also focused we should keep Allah closer to us remember Allah in our good and bad times because it was bring comfort and happiness and said many things which is not possible to type - to write, then Mowla left stage and there was a short route for Mowla to exit Deedargah and enter Patient Care Facility where many old age people and patients were there. Mowla bless us again like another Deedar, Mowla himself shake hands with childern hugged them took very much time with Patient Care Facilit people, then Mowla stood at exit, and entrance of Patient Care Facility, turned toward us and blessed us once again. Mowla spend almost 10 to 15 mins. and left through helicopter
Mowla turned helicopter twice to see us waving at Him and then Mowla left, then the moment Mowla's helicopter left our sights weather changed, winds returned rain started to pour. during Deedar *it was like Mowla paused weather it was a miracle from Mowla."

Re: Northern Pakistan Visit 2026, May 21
For people who have been blessed to attend many Didars in their life, this is not an exception, it happens all the time. It happened in Booni Didar in 2003 when the temperature went suddently from -4 to +18 in half an hour before Mowla came (by helicopter from Gharam Chasma at that time), it happened also in Salamieh Didar 2001 November when the temperature went again from +2 degree to +18 in half hour and a beautiful sun all of a sudden pierce the clouds just as Imam arrived. So yes the weather does change. Even in Nairobi, I noticed it once when Shah Kari's plane was about to land, the climate drastically improved. People may think these are ramblings from some old people but many had withnessed the same. To believe it or not is a matter of faith.Admin wrote: Sun May 24, 2026 12:09 pm TESTIMONY:
