BEFORE YOU TRAVEL

Traffic and congestion are expected near the venue. Allow additional travel time.
Wear comfortable footwear, as some walking will be required between your transportation or parking location and the venue.
Bring your Didar Access Wristband and any required transportation ticket.
If travelling by public transit, check TransLink schedules and service alerts before you depart.
If using another transportation provider, confirm your travel arrangements directly with them before leaving.

TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS

The following transportation options are available to assist the Jamat in travelling safely and efficiently to the Didar venue. Please review the options below to select the one that best meets your needs.

Drive and Park

Driving and parking is the recommended transportation option for most attendees. More than 5,000 parking stalls have been identified throughout downtown Vancouver, including locations offering discounted Didar event parking rates.

Parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Plan ahead, arrive early, and allow additional time for parking and walking to the venue. Carpooling is encouraged where possible.

Traffic delays are expected. Curbside access for general drop-off near the venue will be limited. Priority will be given to seniors and those displaying a valid government-issued accessible parking placard at the drop-off zone.

DIDAR EVENT PARKING RATES

Special Didar event parking rates have been arranged at select downtown parking facilities. Where applicable, enter the Coupon Code provided when paying for parking. Parking rates, operating hours, and availability are subject to change.

Mulaqat Express

The Mulaqat Express is a ticketed shuttle service designed for seniors and any Jamati member who would benefit from transportation assistance or a more supported arrival experience.

HOW IT WORKS

Board at your designated departure location.
Travel to the Lounge, where you complete security screening and may enjoy light refreshments indoors.
Board the Mulaqat Express shuttle for direct transportation to the Didar Hall ‚no additional security screening is required on arrival.
After the Didar, board any available Mulaqat Express shuttle to return to the Lounge, then transfer to a shuttle serving your original departure location.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Do not park at or arrange drop-off at the Lounge.
Travel light if possible. Personal belongings cannot be stored or left at the Lounge.
Walking canes may be brought on board.
Walkers and strollers will be stored underneath the shuttle and should be clearly labelled with your name and phone number.
Travellers must be able to safely board and disembark by climbing approximately three to four steps. Those who cannot should use the Wheelchair-Accessible Taxi Transportation option.
Wheelchair porter assistance is available at the Didar venue only, not at departure locations, parking lots, or the Lounge.

Public Transit

As the Didar takes place early Sunday morning, some transit services begin operating later and may not allow you to arrive when the doors open at 6:00 a.m. Jamati members are asked to arrive no later than 7:30 a.m.

Plan your journey in advance using the TransLink Trip Planner, and review schedules, maps, and service alerts before travelling. The Canada Line and Expo Line have early Sunday services available.

Taxi, Ride-Share & Drop-Off

Taxi, ride-share (Uber, Lyft), and private vehicle drop-off are available for those who prefer not to drive and park or use the Mulaqat Express, or do not require Wheelchair-Accessible Transportation services.

Traffic delays are expected and curbside access near the venue will be very limited. Priority access will be given to designated accessibility and medical transportation services. Please follow directions from volunteers, venue staff, and traffic-control personnel.

Wheelchair-Accessible Taxi Transportation

Wheelchair-accessible taxi service is available for wheelchair users who do not have access to an accessible transportation option or are unable to safely board the Mulaqat Express shuttle.

Return transportation: Wheelchair-accessible taxis will be available from the designated pick-up area after the Didar, on a first-come, first-served basis. You do not need to pre-book your return trip and are not required to use the same taxi company.

HOW TO BOOK

Contact the taxi provider below that serves your pickup area. When booking:

Provide the Didar 26 Account ID for the event rate.
Select either the 5:00 a.m. or 6:00 a.m. pickup window.
Bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
