Ya Ali Madad! Ameen Muhammad, an Ismaili from Gilgit-Baltistan currently residing in California, has announced that his film “The Glacier Wedding” has been selected for its world premiere at the Hot Docs International Documentary Film Festival in Toronto. It will be screened on May 3. Family members and Jamati members in Toronto are welcome to attend the screening.

Rouh-e Mosafer | The Traveling Soul
Farsi Song | Inspired by Ismaili Poet Nasir Khusraw

Inspired by the philosophical spirit and spiritual journey themes found in the writings of Nasir Khusraw — the renowned 11th-century Persian Ismaili philosopher, poet, traveler, and scholar — Rouh-e Mosafer (The Traveling Soul) is a cinematic Persian spiritual ballad about the human soul wandering through life searching for meaning, identity, and inner peace. Rooted in the intellectual and mystical traditions of Ismaili thought, the song reflects on how people often search everywhere except within themselves.

Blending Persian mystical poetry with Central Asian spiritual aesthetics, the song ultimately reveals that the soul’s true home is not a physical place, but the inner light and truth that has always existed within.
