Error of the Trinity

At age 20, Michael Servetus (1511-1553), a Spaniard trained in law and medicine, published 'De Trinitatis erroribus' (Errors of the Trinity), in which he stated that he "will not make use of the word Trinity, which is not to be found in Scripture (Bible), and only seems to perpetuate philosophical error. "He denounced the Trinity as a doctrine "that cannot be understood, that is impossible in the nature things, and that may even be looked on as BLASPHEMOUS".
For this outspokenness, Servetus was condemned by the Catholic Church. But it was the Calvinists who had him arrested, tried, and executed by slow burning.
(adopted from the book, Mankind's search for God).
