Ya Ali Madad, I have been going through the forum with regards to a doubt i have, unfortunately it has not been discussed before. I would really appreciate if anyone could throw light and guide me as i donot want to be in error when it comes to Dasond. My company Pays a House Rent Allowance as part of my package which is directly paid for my House rent for ex. Total Package $7000 out of which $3000 is paid for the Rent directly So when I get my salary I get $4000 in my account. In view of the above do I calculate dasond on the total Package i.e on $7000 or on 4000$ which comes into my account. Hussain

There are 73 entries under dasond, do a search on top of this page. There are no fast rules beside that dasond ison income after tax and no one will force you as it is an individual relation between the Murid and the Murshid and your own understanding of what it can bring to you.
