Didar Donations - Is there such a thing?

Post by DanishC »

Ya Ali Madad

As a Canadian residing in Toronto I've been very fortunate to see our Mowla on 2 occasions within the last 3 years.

I've never traveled outside of my city to attend Didar yet I know several Ismailis myself who seem to follow our Imam all over the globe. Clearly this sort of endeavor requires a large amount of disposable income. On the other side of the token there are ismailis who have not had the chance to attend a Didar simply due to financial constraints and geographic positioning.

When there are didars, are there ever any fundraisers put in place to ensure the less fortunate can attend?

Not only is Zakaat one of the five pillars of islam but the Imam also stressed the importance of helping the poor in his latest firman, perhaps it's time we should?
