Soulmate

Post by From_Alamut »

SALAM and YA `ALI` MADAD

I met an old who graduated from University a couple years ago and now he has his dream job. I was joking with him whether he was married or going to get marry soon Inshallah. He just told me that he is waiting for someone special to come to his life, then I was curious and asked who is that person, he said his SOULMATE.:?: :?:

Since I was not familiar with this word Soulmate now I found the meaning in Wikipedia and Dictionary: A soulmate (or soul mate) is a person with whom one has a feeling of deep or natural affinity, similarity, love, intimacy, sexuality, spirituality, or compatibility. A related concept is that of the twin flame or twin soul, which is thought to be the ultimate soulmate. In New Age spirituality, the ultimate soulmate is the one and only other half of one's soul.

I was wondering whether do we Muslim believes in Soulmate or it is just an ancient tale. Is there any reference in Quran, Hadith, Holy Farman or history that support Soulmate believes to be true. Else I just read this articale on this website but it is hard to believe it. Let me know what you brothers and sisters think..... THANKS http://www.enlightenspirit.com/enlighte ... lmate.html

Interesting subject, I think 'soulmate' subject still need more study and more research.

In my opinion soulmate is nobody else but it is our own soul, which we most human being left ideal and without giving any work from him for years and years, what we need to do is just wake him up, once our souls fully wake up then he/she/it become our companion, partner, mate, soulmate or twin whatever name we give them. Once our soul fully wake up and start to function in its full gear then our soul really become our own soul mate, we can take lots of benefits and vantage from him now and our soul will guide us to make better decision and help us to find any kind solution when we think there is no solution, no hope, or any other way or alternative to solve our problems but that time our soulmate comes to help us and he find the better solution for our problems. This kind experience happens to many peoples and they all confessed that their soul helped them to find better solution in tough time. You can google on internet and you will find many strange stories like this.
This subject is totally new for me I haven't heard or read before your post, first of all I don't have any right to give any opinion since I don't know much about this subject but whatever I wrote above is as per my little knowledge, it is possible that science may find out more about soulmate, and in future scientist and researcher may have right answer for us but till that time we need to keep our finger crossed. but waiting for right soulmate to come and marry after that seems not logic to me it is totally humbug, Do you think soul can take human shape?

Quran, Hadith, ginans and Hindu Purans does mentioning about soul/spirit/ 'RUH' 'Atama' but that soul which one has no shape and look and which one is pure and eternal which comes directly from God and will be return to God soon or latter.

I just find out an article online that the ancient Greek philosopher Plato believed in Soulmates as well. Here his though on soulmate: "humans originally consisted of four arms, four legs, and a single head made of two faces, but Zeus feared their power and split them all in half, condemning them to spend their lives searching for the other half to complete them."

But How do you know when you find your other half; and if you are with with someone who you do not think is your other half, should you move on till you find your match?

Even though, a friend once told me that that Leyli was soulmate of Majnun
