I am an ESOL tutor at Westminster Adult Education Services and also
pursuing my postgraduate research degree at London Metropolitan University.

The topic for my research is - From nobody to somebody : Opportunities and challenges for Gujarati women in London. This study explores how immigrant Gujarati women learn and use English as an additional language, their perceptions of the place of English in their everyday lives and what learning English means to them. It also highlights their contribution to the society and their evolving identities.

I am interviewing Gujarati women from various walks of life, such as those who are still learning English, those who are now fluent as well as those who have different religious and social backgrounds. The research proposal has been approved by the Research Ethics Committee at London Metropolitan University.

I would really appreciate it if you could introduce me a few members of
the community.

Kind regards
