Home automation company Nest Labs will acquire the video-monitoring
startup Dropcam, which makes Web-connected home security cameras, in a deal
worth $555 million in cash.



Aamir Virani
Aamir Virani is the cofounder and COO of Dropcam <http://www.dropcam.com/>,
a Wi-Fi camera and cloud service built for easy home and small-business
monitoring. Aamir focuses on marketing, analytics, and product development
while keeping consumer happiness in mind.
Before starting Dropcam, Aamir was an early engineer at Xobni, where he
architected and wrote Xobni's profile management system and managed
development of the invite system, a first-of-its-kind Outlook-based viral
marketing scheme. Aamir brings additional experience from National
Instruments, where he led testing and verification of a signal and timing
controller for the company's largest hardware product line. A data lover
and avid runner, Aamir has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Rice
University and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Adil Jafry is Chairman & CEO of Chandah Space Technologies, a Houston and
Mountain View based company focused on space commercialization. He is a
