Ginan App - Android application for Ginan audio, text & meanings

DOWNLOAD from : http://www.ismaili.net/heritage/AppGinan

From your Android phone,
Click on the app logo to download the app GinanV1.apk onto your phone.
Once downloaded, click on the file to install it.
You must accept "from unknown source" just one time.
Compatible from Android version 5.0 and up.
Permission request : Access to phone (in order to stop the mediaplayer during phonecalls).


APP FEATURES

Easy access to Ginans
includes information and meanings
includes various recitations

USAGE

Search words or phrases that are in the title or text of a ginan
Search by author, category or subject
List ginans starting by any letter
Browse the glossary of common words in the 'about' section
Select a ginan and view text and translation
Listen to a ginan by choosing a reciter
Mark ginan in your Favourites list

Iphone IOS version of the Ginan App will be available later.

However other APPs are to be released soon for Android.

Tajddin Sadiq Ali, Mumtaz Ali: Glossary of Holy Ginans, Bombay 1993, published by Nurdin Daredia. 67p.

The author has produced a much needed glossary of 3,000 ginanic words. He has included a tutorial for learning Gujrati script for the English speaking audience. A must to understand the rich content of Ginans and Granths of the wonderful Ismaili Tradition.

I have noticed that the odd number pages are missing. They are only partially seen. Is there a way to get the whole book with complete odd number pages?

The whole book will be available on our site in searchable format in about 6 weeks as it is currently been expanded and retyped for ismaili.net in searchable format.

Thanks, it will be a very useful resource for anyone translating the Ginans. I look forward to seeing the book when it is available.
