Life after death?

Salam

I am interested in what the average ismailis believe about life after death? so when you die,do you go to Barzakh? we sunnis believe in barzakh,which is the place where souls live until judgment day when we go to hell or paradise.

or do you reincarnate? i read some ismailis believe in reincarnation .to me that is a deprresing belief and i hope it is not true..saying,you grandpa is reincarnated somewhere ? we look up to heaven and hope they hear us,thats more natural than to think maybe he is in china as a baby now

According to Quran Allah gives only one chance. Quran says;

When death comes to one of them, he says, "My Lord, send me back again. so that I may act rightly regarding the things I failed to do!". No indeed! It is just words he utters. Behind them there is a barrier until the Day they are raised up.

Al Mu'minun: 99-100

One should study Surah Mu'minun. It is an important surah in which ethical values and qualities of mu'min are mentioned beside day of judgement and lessons from story of Prophet Noah and Moses.
