Are we Alone?

Post by ismaili103 »

Lets discuss the possibility of life (bacterial, animal, intelligent etc) in the Observable Universe and beyond in the light of Ginans, Farmans, Hadith and Quran.

Our star Sun is just one of the 200 Billion other stars in our galaxy, Milky Way.

As per astronomers, each star in Milky way is orbited by at least one planet, that's around 200 Billion planets in just one galaxy.

Further, there are estimated to be around 2 Trillion galaxies in the observable universe. Based of assumptions, there are around 1 Septillion (That's 1 followed by 24 zeros) stars in all the galaxies in the Observable Universe.

All of these stars in our Observable Universe are orbited by around 1 Nonillion (that's 1 followed by 30 zeros) planets.

If we assume that out of these 1 Nonillion Planets, only 0.000000000000000000005% (almost negligible percentage) planets have life, then we have around 50 Million planets with life. That's still a huge number of planets based on almost negligible percentage.

Not to mention, Observable Universe could be only a small spec of the infinite Universe beyond it and that infinite Universe could be just one of the infinite universes out there.

As Imam Sultan Mohammad Shah A.S has wrote in his Memoirs.

"Once man has thus comprehended the essence of existence, there remains for him the duty, since he knows the absolute value of his own soul, of making for himself a direct path which will constantly lead his individual soul to and bind it with the universal Soul of which the Universe — as much of it as we perceive with our limited vision — is one of the infinite manifestations."

"Allah alone wishes: the Universe exists; and all manifestations are as a witness of the Divine will. I think that I have sufficiently explained the difference between the Islamic doctrine of the unity of God and, on one side, the theistic ideas, founded upon the Old Testament, and on the other, the pantheistic and dualistic ideas of the Indian religion and that of Zoroaster. But having known the real, the Absolute, having understood the Universe as an infinite succession of events, intended by God, we need an ethic, a code of conduct in order to be able to elevate ourselves toward the ideal demanded by God. " (Memoirs of Aga Khan III)
