Kalam-e-Imam Mubin

Post by zking786 »

YAM,

I'm looking for a complete English-translated version of this controversial set of Farmans. I would greatly appreciate any direction or guidance anyone can provide. My late grandfather learned Gujarati to be able to read the original document and it changed his life. As I understand it, the compilation was withdrawn from circulation in the 1980s by MHI.

Is there any repository or online version I might be able to find?

Also, for farmans in general, is there an online repository? For some reason, I don't have the special login privilages to access the "Library" section of Ismaili.NET. Is there a way to gain access?

What do you need to know.

Dear zking786:

The fact that you mentioned "controversial" sounds like you're looking for controversy. What is your intention for finding these farmans? Perhaps I can help you. Kalame Imam e Mubeen has a lot of historical value to it. But one aspect that can be derived from it is how Ismailis were uplifted from dire circumstances, poor ideology, to hope for a better life. Thanks to Imam Sultan Mohammad Shah, Ismailis today are at a better place. There is a lot of love in Kalame Imam e Mubeen. The Imam shows numerous times how much he loves the jamat.

One of the firmans that is worth pointing out is the explanation of Ali Allah. Imam Sultan Mohammad Shah related the story of Nuseri. Usool e Din is a farman within the 2 volumes. It explains aspect of the soul and the search for truth. I don't see at all any controversies, having read it many times. Times may have changed, but there are no fundamental controversies that I know of.

Samir,

Thanks for your prompt response. My message might not have been clear, I'm not looking for controversy in anyway. I have been impacted by the power of certain portions, especially the Usool-e-Din, and am on a quest for further enlightenment and knowledge.

Sultan Mohamed Shah's farmans are incredibly powerful, especially in providing a historical context for our faith. I am under the impression that their direct and explicit nature might be potential reason they are not in as great mainstream circulation. Perhaps non-Ismailis might take the explanations out of context to misinterpret or misrepresent our faith?

I'm basically looking for a deeper understanding of our faith. I would greatly appreciate it if you could help me in finding the compilation of farmans.

Thanks,
Adnan Esmail

There are transliterations and translations in English of selected Farmans from KIM in Ruhani Raaz I.S.B.N. 1-895260-01-9.

I understand that there are several parts of the KIM that are more mainstream, but I'm looking for the full compilation -- both volumes. Any leads are appreciated, I can also be reached by email at [email removed]
Thanks!

I would be very much worried if someone talks about "mainstream farmans" and "controversial farmans" on this Forum, especially when anyone can hide behind an alias on the internet and we can not really know the motivation of the person.

When people start judging the content of a Farmans, they for sure have a mistaken understanding of what a Farman is, not to say the least, these are not the kind of people from whom we can expect respect for the Imam. Especially when the person preaches that the compilation was "withdrawn by the Imam", these kind of propaganda and lies do not have any place here.

And God know where the information we provide ends up...

This explain why this thread is close.
