UK Didar,

Post by kassamaliakbar »

Ya Ali Madad.
Four weeks ago, the UK Jamat were told to update their details on The.ismaili UK database.

The rumours started on Thursday 11 December that MHI is visiting UK in the first week of February

Friday 12 December Jamat Khana was full like Chandraat but there was no talika mubarak so the news is not confirm yet but now rumours is getting much stronger with date of Didar, that is:

4th & 5th February at Excel.
Didar on 4th February for London jamats, at Excel
Didar on 5th Outside London Jamats that is other areas of UK, at Excal.
Didar on 6th youth Mulaqat am. at London Darkhana prayer hall ic.
Multi faith Mulaqat on 6th pm. at Ismaili centre social hall.

this could be pure rumours
as no confirmation yet,
Waiting for Talika Mubarak.

Please update if any Jamati member got any confirmation.

Many thanks
Akbar.

Message from the UK Jamati Institutions

We appreciate that the Jamat is longing for Mawlana Hazar Imam’s visit to the UK however we kindly remind the Jamat that messages currently in circulation are unofficial and should neither be relied upon nor forwarded.

The timing and manner of communication in relation to Mawlana Hazar Imam’s visits with the Jamat is solely at his discretion. It is well established, that the Imam conveys his visit plans to the global Jamat through a Talika at a time he considers appropriate. We will be sure to notify the Jamat if and when we are to receive such a Talika.

Thank you for your understanding.

Many thanks to admin for keeping my earlier post.

Anyone get the exact date for Darbar and Deedar, please post.

“ The President and Members His Highness, Prince Aga Khan Shia Imami Council for the United Kingdom
London

My Dear President and Members,

I am happy to inform my Jamat that I will undertake an official visit to the United Kingdom in early February 2026. During this visit, I look forward to meeting my Jamat that is resident in the United Kingdom.

I am also planning a separate visit to Germany, and I will announce the dates for this in the near future. This visit will provide an opportunity for me to meet with my Jamat residing in Germany, as well as in other European countries that fall under the jurisdiction of the Council for the United Kingdom.

In keeping with the principle I have conveyed in relation to previous visits, I do not wish my Jamat from other countries to travel to the United Kingdom during my visit. I hope my Jamat will maintain discipline and restraint in this matter.

I take this opportunity to wish my global Jamat a very Happy New Year. I send to each one of you, individually, and to your families and your Jamats, my warmest and most affectionate blessings. I pray that 2026 brings happiness, peace, good health, and the fulfilment of all your good wishes.

I send my warmest, most affectionate, and loving blessings to all my dearest spiritual children in the United Kingdom, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Italy, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, and Sweden Jamat.

You are always in my heart, in my thoughts, and in my prayers.

Yours affectionately,

Mawlana Hazar Imam will undertake an official visit to the United Kingdom from 1 to 5 February 2026, during which he will meet with the Jamat residing in the UK and Ireland.

In a Talika Mubarak read in Jamatkhanas worldwide, Hazar Imam announced he is planning a separate visit to Germany where he will have the opportunity to meet with his Jamat residing in Germany and in other European countries under the jurisdiction of the Ismaili Council for the UK.

To be able to focus his attention on the Jamat of the UK and Ireland, Hazar Imam does not wish members of the Jamat from other countries to travel to the UK during his visit.

In the Talika Mubarak, Hazar Imam also sent good wishes to his global Jamat for a very happy New Year: “I pray that 2026 brings happiness, peace, good health, and the fulfilment of all your good wishes,” he said.

Gratitude to Kindness - Gifts to Mawlana Hazar Imam

This is the first visit of our 50th Imam, Mawlana Shah Rahim al Hussaini, to the United Kingdom. It is a historic moment that will be remembered and felt for decades to come.

It is our tradition to humbly offer a gift to the Imam-of-the-Time when he physically visits a jurisdiction, in the hope that he will accept it. On this occasion, we invite the Jamat to come together in offering a gift that reflects his interests and brings him joy.

In Mawlana Hazar Imam’s Farmans, we are reminded that faith is not only expressed through words or intentions, but through actions and behaviours. At the heart of this guidance lie two enduring themes: gratitude and kindness.

Keeping these Farmans in mind, the UK jurisdiction Jamati gifts will take the following three forms:

1. Expressions of Shukrana

The Jamat is invited to offer as many shukranas they wish for whatever they feel grateful for. This may be expressed through writing, drawing, or colouring on an A4 sheet of paper or creating a digital artwork. Please take a photo or scan of your expressions and upload it here: https://thepeoplespicture.com/projects/iiuk/.

These submissions will be collated to create a large visual Shukrana Mosaic, a collective gift of gratitude from the UK Jamat, which Mawlana Hazar Imam will receive during his UK visit. A digital version of the Shukrana Mosaic will also be shared with the Jamat. The deadline to submit is 19 January 2026.

When we feel gratitude, kindness follows.

2. Kindness Pledges

Where gratitude is constant, kindness comes alive. Kindness is a choice to act with care, through small or meaningful acts, to make life a little easier for oneself, for others, or for the world around us.

The Jamat is encouraged to let gratitude remind us of what we have received and then choose ways to pass it forward by pledging a daily, weekly, monthly, or one-off act of kindness.

All acts of kindness can be logged on the Ismaili App or iiuk.org. We encourage the Jamat to pledge as many acts of kindness as possible. These will be collated and presented to Mawlana Hazar Imam. The deadline to submit is 25 January 2026.

Together, these pledges transform intention into action, turning “me” into “we” and reflecting our collective commitment to lived ethics and shared growth.

3. Your Stories, Our Gift: Your story matters. Share it with the Princes

Following Mawlana Hazar Imam’s wish for Prince Irfan and Prince Sinan to understand the lives of the Jamat, young murids aged 8 to 14 years from the UK jurisdiction are invited to share a story about their lives.

Up to 40 stories will be selected to create a book of short stories, which will be offered as a gift to Mawlana Hazar Imam for his children.

For details on submissions, please refer to the email to parents on Monday 5 January. For further questions, please email submissions@iiuk.org and state ‘question’ in the subject of your email.

All acts of kindness can be logged on iiuk.org or the Ismaili App (Click More > Gratitude to Kindness).

Local engagement for Kindness Pledges

You can have a look at some local events here but also consider Park Runs, soup kitchens, local tree planting and litter picking opportunities and many others near you. These pledges are personal to you and all big and small acts of kindness are appreciated.

Please do not post anything other then UK Didar here. There are other threads for other Didars, we do not want to mix all info of all Didars all over the place. Didars threads are specific to one Didar each only. Post according to the title of the thread.

Message from the Jamati Institutions

Special video message from Naushad Jivraj, President of the Ismaili Council for the United Kingdom Jurisdiction on the occasion of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s visit to the United Kingdom.

Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_cont ... th=Mjg2NjY

You can log activities as a Kindness Pledge on IIUK https://www.iiuk.org/ under Kindness to Myself.

By working together, every step taken contributes to a shared achievement that symbolises unity, gratitude, and kindness to our bodies through a commitment to physical and mental wellbeing.

Activities included

All movement counts. You can participate through walking, jogging, running, sprinting, cycling, swimming, gym cardio sessions, commutes on foot or by bike. If it gets you moving, it counts towards the total.

ROYALS

The Aga Khan V is set to visit London to meet King Charles – but is a state banquet on the cards?

Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini's father, the Aga Khan IV, was known as one of the most well-connected royals in the world and was a friend of Queen Elizabeth II. On an upcoming official visit to London, the Aga Khan V no doubt hopes to follow in his footsteps.

AGA KHAN V IS SET TO VISIT LONDON FOR A MEETING WITH KING CHARLES, A YEAR ON FROM ACEEDING TO HIS LATE FATHER'S TITLE AS THE SPIRITUAL LEADER OF THE WORLD'S 15 MILLION ISMAILI MUSLIMS MAGALI COHEN/Getty Images

It’s been a busy year for the Aga Khan V. After the death of his father and predecessor, Prince Karim al-Husayni, Prince Rahim Al-Hussaini has not only taken over the spiritual leadership of over 15 million Ismaili Muslims worldwide, but he has also inherited a $13 billion empire of charitable endeavours. Fortunately, like his father – who was a close friend of Queen Elizabeth II – the new Aga Khan is one of the most well-connected figures in the world and enjoys some very close ties to Britain.

As such, he will be making his way to London from 1-5 February to meet with King Charles. The two figures will no doubt have much to discuss, with both men being passionate advocates for sustainable development and mitigating the effects of climate change. According to one insider, the trip will be an opportunity for the Aga Khan to thank the King for bestowing him the title ‘His Highness’ last February.

It remains to be seen whether or not this trip will entail all the pomp and circumstance of a state visit. Perhaps this could be the perfect opportunity for a banquet at Windsor Castle (and, as many royal watchers will no doubt be hoping, a chance to see the Princess of Wales don another dazzling tiara following her debut in the Oriental Circlet Tiara to welcome the German President in December).

In all likelihood, though, the tone of the trip will be similar to the Aga Khan V’s first official international engagement, when he travelled to France to meet with President Macron in July. Held in the Élysée Palace, the tête-à-tête was certainly more of a work visit than a banquet occasion: the pair discussed politics, aid, and international collaboration.

The Aga Khan V – whose mother, Princess Salimah, was formerly known as Sarah Croker Poole, and the knot with Prince Karim al-Husayni after separating from Lord James Charles Crichton-Stuart, son of John Crichton-Stuart, 5th Marquess of Bute – is no stranger to the obligations of his title. He has extensive experience working within his father’s philanthropic empire, having served as chair of the Environment and Climate Committee for the Aga Khan Development Network.

‘Prince Rahim has been particularly concerned with the AKDN's drive to protect the environment and mitigate the effects of climate change,’ reads the Network’s website, which highlighted the Aga Khan V’s particular interest in ‘addressing the needs of those living in the greatest poverty’.

He has two sons, whom he welcomed with his ex-wife, the American model, Kendra Spears. Tiara moment or not, the Aga Khan’s trip to London in February will be a milestone occasion for both Prince Rahim and King Charles, who was said to be ‘deeply saddened’ by the death of the Aga Khan IV. Commemoration and innovation, then, will be on the agenda for this meeting of royals.

Secondary Week 1: Searching for Light

Light My Way booklets available here https://www.iiuk.org/owncloud/index.php ... 2?path=%2F

Didar is both a physical meeting and a spiritual journey that guides everyday choices.

Have you ever wondered about the world around you? Have you ever asked yourself big questions, like:

- Why am I here?
- What is the right thing to do?
- How can I prepare myself for something important?

In this lesson, we begin a journey of searching for meaning, guidance, and light. Human beings have always gone on journeys, both physical and spiritual, to find answers.

Today, you will:

- Reflect on your feelings and questions
- Explore why humans go on searches or quests
- Begin to understand what Didar means
- Think about how faith guides our daily choices

Take your time. There is no rush when we are learning with our hearts.

Journeys and Search

Look carefully at the two images provided in this lesson.

Image

Image 1: A group of people on a journey

Image

Image 2: A traveller carrying a scroll

Let’s Reflect

Think quietly and answer:

- What do you think these people are searching for?
- What might be their goal or purpose?
- What challenges might they face on their journey?
- How do you think they feel as they move forward?

Key Idea: People often go on journeys to search for meaning, guidance, or something important in their lives.

See, Think, Wonder

Write 2–3 short responses using these sentence starters:

- I see…
- I think…
- I wonder…

Preparing for Didar

We recently heard the Talika Mubarak about Mawlana Hazar Imam’s visit. Didar is not only about seeing the Imam physically. It is also about feeling close, being guided, and living with good values. Watch the video below:

Viideo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QhBVgSD ... ismaili%2F

Think about your feelings:

- How did you feel when you heard the news of Didar?
- What feelings do you notice when you think about preparing for Didar?

How do you feel?

Choose one or two words that best describe how you feel:

- Curious
- Hopeful
- Happy
- Nervous
- Excited
- Calm

Think About It

Searching is part of being human.

Faith is a journey.

Didar reminds us to live with purpose, kindness, and good values every day.

Complete one of the following sentences:

King Charles will meet the billionaire, spiritual leader of the Ismaili Muslims in London, Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, next month in London.

Prince Rahim, 54, who succeeded his father last year, has a fortune estimated to be worth £10billion.

The 54-year-old owns properties worldwide, having been educated in the US, and is three-quarters British by blood.

The spiritual leader of 12 million Ismaili Muslims meeting with the King, is to "thank Charles for giving him the title 'His Highness'," an admirer told the Daily Mail.

Prince Rahim's mother, Princess Salima, who changed her name from Sally Croker Pooke, while his father was the son of Joan Yarde-Buller, the eldest of the third Lord Churston's children.

The 54-year-old is the 50th hereditary Imam of the Ismaili Muslims, who say they are direct descendants of the Prophet Muhammad.

The Ismailis are a Shia Muslim group who revere a number of Imams.

They have a worldwide population of about 15 million, including 500,000 in Pakistan, while boasting a large presence in India, Afghanisation and parts of Africa.

Prince Karim Aga Khan succeeded his grandfather as Imam of the Ismaili Muslims in 1957, aged 20.

He died surrounded by family in Lisbon, Portugal, which is the seat of the Ismaili Imamat.

During his time as the spiritual leader of the Ismaili Muslim community, the late Aga Khan played a key role in establishing a charity that operates hundreds of hospitals, educational institutions, and cultural initiatives, primarily in the developing world.

He was also known for his immense wealth. Forbes magazine estimated his fortune in 2008 at $1billion (£801million).

He was a leading owner and breeder of racehorses in the UK, France, and Ireland, breeding the famous runner Shergar.

The new Aga Khan is the eldest son of his late father and Begum Salimah, a British ex-model who converted to Islam and changed her name.

Prince Rahim is heavily involved with the series of charities and agencies his father helped spearhead.

According to the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) website, Prince Rahim has served on many of its boards, and he currently chairs its Environment and Climate Committee.

The website said: "Prince Rahim has been particularly concerned with the AKDN's drive to protect the environment and mitigate the effects of climate change."

It added that he was also interested in work "addressing the needs of those living in the greatest poverty".

Prince Rahim has two sons through his marriage to former American fashion model Kendra Spears.

They divorced in February 2022, having been married since 2013.
