Ya 'Ali Madad,
Not sure if anyone had any thoughts about "Earth Hour" which took place yesterday, March 29th from 8PM to 9PM but i hope that those of you who were at home and who could do so, partook in the challenge...
i bring this topic up because i feel as if it would be a responsible gesture by our community (wherever possible) to practice "Earth Hour" in our lives and by extension, in our Jamatkhanas.
Understandably, it is difficult to coordinate and organize the implementation of flashlights and candles in jamatkhanas in lieu of regular lighting but this brief transformation will go a long way in helping raise awareness within our community about the environment and our role as vicegerents to maintain it. As to this, Hazir Imam has told us that, "As trustees of God's creation, we are instructed to seek to leave the world a better place than it was when we came into it."
