The President and Members
His Highness Prince Aga Khan Shia Imami Ismaili Council for France
Paris

My dear President and Members,

Since the time of the occasion of my Takht-Nishini in February, I have been working with the leaders of my Jamat to develop a plan for a cycle of inaugural visits to my Jamats around the world. It is my desire and intention to travel extensively and have opportunities to meet with as many of my Jamats as possible in person.

I am happy to announce today my first Jamati visit as your 50th Imam will be to France in July. I was delighted to have received an invitation from the President of the French Republic to undertake an official visit. In conjunction with that visit, I will meet with my Jamat under the jurisdiction of the Council for France.

I continue to work with my leaders to develop a forward schedule for further Jamati visits. These will be scheduled taking into consideration national circumstances, the situation of individual Jamats and my other commitments and activities. These visits are a priority for me, and I will announce future visits as soon as they are confirmed.

As I would like to be able to focus my attention on the Jamat in each jurisdiction, I do not wish my spiritual children from other countries to travel to France during my visit there. I hope my Jamat will maintain discipline and restraint in this matter, so that my visit to France can be undertaken in an organised manner. It is my intention to apply the same principle to future visits to other countries.

I send my warmest and most affectionate loving blessings to all my beloved spiritual children of my France, Belgium, Switzerland and Ivory Coast Jamat. You are constantly in my heart, in my thoughts and in my prayers.

Yours affectionately,

Aga Khan

Programme des 12 et 13 juillet
France

Samedi 12 juillet après-midi : Antony, Argenteuil, Chantilly-Gouvieux, Grenoble, Montpellier, Nantes, Nice, Paris, Pau, Rosny, Tarbes

Dimanche 13 juillet matin : Antony, Argenteuil, Chantilly-Gouvieux, Grenoble, Montpellier, Nantes, Nice, Paris, Pau, Rosny, Tarbes

Dear All,

A video message from the President of the Aga Khan Ismaili Council for France, shared ahead of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s forthcoming Didar with the Jamat in France this month.

📽️ Watch here:
🔗 https://www.instagram.com/reel/DKYsIEiz ... lxZ2duMQ==

In this heartfelt address—delivered in French with English subtitles—he speaks directly to the Jamat as “dear brothers and sisters,” and emphasizes that:
• This is a moment of joy, unity, and profound spiritual significance.
• The Didar is not just a physical event; it is a spiritual and inner transformation.
• It is a time to reaffirm our oath of allegiance (bay‘ah) to the Imam with clean and open hearts.
• We must prepare ourselves spiritually so that we are ready to receive the Nur (Light) of the Imam.
• By the grace of Mawlana Hazar Imam, we will be blessed with this Light during Didar.

His message affirms clearly that the Imam is the bearer of Divine Light, and that Didar is not a concept or symbolic act—it is a living spiritual reality for every murid.

As we prepare for this historic and sacred occasion, may we open our hearts fully to reflect, pray, and receive the blessings and grace of the Nur of the Imam-of-the-Time.

With prayers and warm wishes,

Re: Paris France new Motif by Leaders

Post by mahebubchatur »

Ya Ali Madad.

New Motif for all Didars

I would like to extend heartfelt congratulations to the Jamat on the unveiling of the new Noor motif, to be used for the Didars of Mawlana Hazar Imam, as shared publicly
https://x.com/chaturmahebub/status/1942 ... hqfO552USg

This new motif is deeply symbolic and meaningful. Rooted in Fatimid heritage and inspired by nature, the environment, and unity, it features the word Noor(Light) five times—representing the five pillars of the Ismaili faith. It is circular in design, reflecting a global Jamat, One Jamat, One Family, unified in allegiance and devotion to the Imam of the Time. The leaders themselves have now publicly acknowledged that this Noor embodies Divine guidance, knowledge, and mercy, and that it conveys God’s Will through the Imam, for the protection and security of the Jamat.

This public confirmation affirms what Leaders and IIS have long understood and witheld publicly and educationally : that the Imam’s Noor is not symbolic alone, but an active, Divine reality —guiding the Jamat, offering protection, and calling us to seek enlightenment and truth.

Every Didar is a moment of renewal of bay‘ah—our allegiance to the Imam—seeking guidance blessings and mercy - not to intermediaries, but to the Imam as bearer of Noor and Divine guidance mercy and blessings

And yet, this moment also raises serious contradictions which cannot be ignored.

The very guidance that the institutions now acknowledge as being Divine—Farmans—and the Constitution that governs our community and ensures pluralism, transparency, and accountability, continue to be deliberately withheld from the Jamat.

Despite clear, categorical, and specific Farmans and directions from Mawlana Hazar Imam to release and share them, the leaders have failed to do so. This is not a matter of logistical delay or eg printing, as has often been claimed.

These are deliberate choices—of Leaders in control part of a persistent culture of secrecy, centralised control, and exclusion.

Even in the development of this Noor motif itself—an initiative that symbolises unity, pluralism, and global inclusion—the process was kept within a small circle of senior leaders, institutions like the Institute of Ismaili Studies, and media teams based largely in London.

There was no community consultation, no transparency, and no opportunity for the broader Jamat to see, comment on, or contribute to the options presented to Hazar Imam.

It is safe to assume that several drafts were submitted to the Imam, from which he chose one—but the community was given no visibility into this process. Not even in this clip others mentioned.

This, too, is a glaring example of the ongoing leaders culture that contradicts the very Farmans and values the motif is meant to and Leaders say it reflects

The Noor motif speaks of unity, - one Jamat Family - yet the process behind it excluded the global Jamat. It speaks of guidance, yet that guidance—the Farmans—is withheld. It speaks of pluralism, yet our Leaders continue to centralise and control, rather than include and empower.

I therefore once again remind and respectfully request all leaders and those who know to provide full and truthful responses to previous communications and to now immediately release the Constitution and the Farmans without any further delay or excuse.

There is no justification for continuing to withhold them

The Noor of Imam and Allah belongs to the entire Jamat. The Imam’s guidance is a divine trust for all murids, not a tool to be filtered, controlled, or withheld by a few.

If we are to truly embody the meaning behind this motif, & Farmans we must begin with truth, inclusion, pluralism and accountability at all levels

With sincerity, hope, and unwavering faith,

M Chatur

To all Including IIS and Noorani Family
