Paris France didar July 2025
Mubarakis to the France Jamat on this wonderful news
Re: Paris France didar July 2025 Talika
28 May 2025
The President and Members
His Highness Prince Aga Khan Shia Imami Ismaili Council for France
Paris
My dear President and Members,
Since the time of the occasion of my Takht-Nishini in February, I have been working with the leaders of my Jamat to develop a plan for a cycle of inaugural visits to my Jamats around the world. It is my desire and intention to travel extensively and have opportunities to meet with as many of my Jamats as possible in person.
I am happy to announce today my first Jamati visit as your 50th Imam will be to France in July. I was delighted to have received an invitation from the President of the French Republic to undertake an official visit. In conjunction with that visit, I will meet with my Jamat under the jurisdiction of the Council for France.
I continue to work with my leaders to develop a forward schedule for further Jamati visits. These will be scheduled taking into consideration national circumstances, the situation of individual Jamats and my other commitments and activities. These visits are a priority for me, and I will announce future visits as soon as they are confirmed.
As I would like to be able to focus my attention on the Jamat in each jurisdiction, I do not wish my spiritual children from other countries to travel to France during my visit there. I hope my Jamat will maintain discipline and restraint in this matter, so that my visit to France can be undertaken in an organised manner. It is my intention to apply the same principle to future visits to other countries.
I send my warmest and most affectionate loving blessings to all my beloved spiritual children of my France, Belgium, Switzerland and Ivory Coast Jamat. You are constantly in my heart, in my thoughts and in my prayers.
Yours affectionately,
Aga Khan

Re: Paris France President of Council
Dear All,
A video message from the President of the Aga Khan Ismaili Council for France, shared ahead of Mawlana Hazar Imam’s forthcoming Didar with the Jamat in France this month.
Watch here:
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DKYsIEiz ... lxZ2duMQ==
In this heartfelt address—delivered in French with English subtitles—he speaks directly to the Jamat as “dear brothers and sisters,” and emphasizes that:
• This is a moment of joy, unity, and profound spiritual significance.
• The Didar is not just a physical event; it is a spiritual and inner transformation.
• It is a time to reaffirm our oath of allegiance (bay‘ah) to the Imam with clean and open hearts.
• We must prepare ourselves spiritually so that we are ready to receive the Nur (Light) of the Imam.
• By the grace of Mawlana Hazar Imam, we will be blessed with this Light during Didar.
His message affirms clearly that the Imam is the bearer of Divine Light, and that Didar is not a concept or symbolic act—it is a living spiritual reality for every murid.
As we prepare for this historic and sacred occasion, may we open our hearts fully to reflect, pray, and receive the blessings and grace of the Nur of the Imam-of-the-Time.
With prayers and warm wishes,

FORWARDED AS RECEIVED
Dearest Family,
With immense joy and gratitude, I wanted to share some truly wonderful news as we prepare our hearts for Hazar Imam’s visit to Paris.
The Belgium Jamati youth, aged 15–25, have been specially blessed with a unique mulaqat with Hazar Imam on Saturday, July 12th, following the France Jamat’s Deedar earlier that day.
The Belgium Jamat will have their Deedar on Sunday, July 13th, and afterward, the France Jamati Youth will have their mulaqat. How blessed we are to witness such spiritual abundance across our regions!
And the blessings continue…
After the youth mulaqat on Sunday, Hazar Imam will also graciously meet with the non-Ismaili spouses and partners~—~a gesture that reflects His deep love and inclusive spirit.
And there is even more to be grateful for. As part of the leadership—Shabnam with the Council and myself with NCAB—we have just received the extraordinary news that all leadership members will be granted a private meeting with Hazar Imam, followed by a lunch in His presence.
When I heard this, I genuinely got goosebumps. What an incredible blessing, one that fills the heart with awe and deep shukrana.
I simply had to share this with all of you. Let us hold each other in prayer and gratitude during this historic and spiritually rich time.
Mubaraki to everyone!

Mawlana Hazar Imam was received at the Élysée Palace by President Macron for a luncheon today to begin his official visit to France. He was accompanied by Prince Irfan, Prince Sinan, Prince Amyn, Prince Hussain, and Prince Aly Muhammad, along with leaders of the Jamat and AKDN.
Three agreements were signed at the Élysée:
Agreement between the French Republic and the Ismaili Imamat. The agreement reinforces a long-standing and deep relationship. It spans the domains of development investment, humanitarian support, health care, education, higher education and research, culture and the arts, agriculture development, food security, infrastructure, environmental protection and the fight against climate change, and social cohesion. It also facilitates dialogue and cooperation in matters of international relations, with the aim of fostering peace and stability, reinforcing a respect for pluralism, developing a strong and effective civil society, and promoting interfaith dialogue. The agreement recognises the presence of the Ismaili Imamat in France, including through official representation between the two parties and a joint coordinating committee.
Declaration of Intention to Cooperate in Syria. France and the Ismaili Imamat signed a declaration confirming their intention to cooperate for the successful and peaceful transition in Syria, protection of human dignity, rebuilding resilience and resettling displaced people. Cooperation will include responses to the urgent need for humanitarian assistance, and investments in the foundation for the sustainable, long-term development of the country, including rebuilding the economy through agricultural support and entrepreneurship; reinforcing the healthcare system; and providing cultural support to create employment and catalyse economic growth.
Declaration of Intention to Cooperate in the Indian Ocean Region. France and the Ismaili Imamat signed a declaration of their intention to cooperate on the regeneration of coastal zones and marine ecosystems in the Indian Ocean region. Notably, this initiative will include support for the reconstruction and sustainable development of Mayotte. The partnership will encompass four key priorities: protection and restoration of coastal ecosystems, in particular mangroves; the promotion of nature-based solutions to respond to the climate crisis; the development of opportunities in the blue and green economies; and the reduction of pressure on coastal and marine zones by improved access to drinking water, energy, waste management and improved agricultural practices. The agreement envisages the joint mobilisation of Euro 100 million to support action in Mayotte, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique and Tanzania.
This visit reinforces a longstanding relationship, spanning decades and across multiple areas of endeavour. For more than three decades, AKDN and the Agence Française de Développement have cooperated in areas of mutual concern, involving more than 60 projects in Africa, South Asia, Central Asia and the Middle East. AKDN is a founding member of the Paris Peace Forum.
Hazar Imam’s family has enjoyed close relations with France going back over 75 years. Mawlana Shah Karim was well-known and respected for his contributions to France in culture, tourism, diplomacy, and thoroughbred racing, amongst other areas.
Members of the Ismaili community have lived in France for more than six decades and contribute actively to the strength and prosperity of the country. On 12 and 13 July, Hazar Imam will grace the Jamat of France, Switzerland, Belgium and Côte d'Ivoire with didar.

Re: Paris France didar July 2025
Do we have any testimonies from France didar yet! I would love to hear some
Re: Paris France didar July 2025
As received
Mubarak badha, Mubarak
Khudavind arrived at 16h prompt, as planned.. He was accompanied by his sons, Prince Irfan and Prince Sinan… We learned that he will be accompanied during Intezaari.. you could feel the shivers across the hall..
Once on his throne, a simple but elegant white throne, (the boys had the same, but smaller), the ceremony began. The tilawaat-e-quran which was chosen was the same as the one which was chosen when I read the translation for late Imam Shah Karim Shah’s Diamond jubilee darbaar in Dar es Salaam, Surah an Nur. Sweet memories.
A trio recited a qasidah, and we saw Mawla moved to tears. He was very emotional during he entire visit.
There was other recitations and Mukhisaheb renewed our vows to our faith, our bayah.
Khudavind took his place at the podium. When he started to speak « My beloved spiritual children », one could see him in the image of his late father
. He blessed the jamat, he prayed for good health and success of the jamat.
Khudavind began by saying that he has a very special connection with France and Paris in particular where he spent a large part of his young adulthood. He said France has had a special place in the Ismaili Imamat for 4 generations now, referring to
He spoke about his meetings with the French government yesterday, saying he signed specific documents that will contribute to strengthening relations between the French government and the Ismaili Imamat.
Khudavind touched on the political distress in Syria and reiterated that France is committed to relieving the tensions wherever possible. He said that the conditions in Syria were those that he would like be only temporary for his murids.
MHI then spoke about artificial intelligence and technology in today’s developing world. He encouraged the jamat to pursue careers in which we are in charge of communicating with intelligent interfaces or in which human communication cannot be replaced by technology.
He spoke about material wealth, and said while material wealth is important, it is important to obtain it ethically. He said « make the ethics of your faith the centre of your material wealth »
Khudavind then adressed the question of multifaith families. He said «Members of your families who practice another faith, or no faith at all, are part of our family and it is important that are a part of our jamat’s life »
********
Khudavind spoke to his murids a second time, during which he was moved to tears, barely finishing his sentences, as he spoke about the loss of his father, and the grandfather of his boys. He said « these emotions are normal, I miss him very much as I am sure you do too »
And he finished by thanking the jamat for their presence today, saying that the visit has been very special for him and that this marks the start of his visits to his murids.
Mawla said something very interesting, he said « this marks the beginning of my visits to my jamat and I pray, inshallah, that I will be able to meet you all individually, it is my hope

The Jamat gathered at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles on 12 July 2025 experienced the first didar of our beloved 50th Imam, Mawlana Shah Rahim al-Hussaini Aga Khan.
Mawlana Hazar Imam, who was accompanied by Prince Irfan and Prince Sinan, conveyed guidance and blessings for the worldwide Jamat. He thanked the volunteers for their efforts in organising the visit. Hazar Imam also granted a separate mulaqat to young members of the Jamat.
Mukhi Saheb of Paris Principal Jamatkhana submitted Bayah to the Imam on behalf of the Jamat and Aiaze Mitha, President of the Ismaili Council for France, delivered a welcome address.
To commemorate the historic event, the Jamat prepared an art installation entitled Ensemble-Together, representing the community’s individual and collective stories. The artwork is made up of symbolic plants and fruits including the Mangrove, which represents migration across the Indian Ocean—from Gujarat to Madagascar and East Africa; an Olive Tree, symbolising the welcome the Jamat found in France and the countries of its jurisdiction; the Pomegranate, honouring members of the Jamat from Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and India; the Fig, commemorating those who journeyed from Syria and other parts of the world; and Grape Leaves, representing the extension of the community to include family members from different faiths and backgrounds.
The fruits and leaves were inscribed with hundreds of hand-written messages by members of the Jamat and multi-faith family members of all ages, expressing their commitment to care for the environment and to serve the Imam and his Jamat.
