At the invitation of Prime Minister Mark Carney, Mawlana Hazar Imam will undertake an official visit to Canada from 25 to 31 March 2026, during which he will meet with the Jamat residing in Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritime Provinces.

In a Talika Mubarak read in Jamatkhanas worldwide, Hazar Imam said he plans to visit the country again in the near future to meet with his Jamat residing in Western Canada.

To be able to focus his attention on the Jamat in Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritimes, Hazar Imam does not wish members of the Jamat from other parts of Canada, or from other countries, to travel to these provinces during his visit.

🧵*Illuminated Threads* is a community art installation celebrating unity in the vast diversity within the Canadian Jamat.

Members of the Jamat are invited to contribute a small colourful piece of traditional fabric from your country of origin. Only a small piece is needed, approximately 8 inches by 8 inches. Together, these fabric pieces will be brought into a single collective artwork that honours the many cultures, languages, and traditions that make up the Canadian Jamat. Individually distinct, yet woven together, the final piece will stand as a visual expression of unity and shared identity. 🧩

Fabric donation bins have been placed in Jamatkhana social halls. The deadline to donate is *February 28, 2026*. 🧵
